EAPG Boston & Sandwich Ribbed Ivy Water Pitcher, EAPG, Circa 1850–1860
Description
Mid-Victorian Ribbed Ivy water pitcher in clear pressed glass, an example of Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) produced circa 1850–1860. The pitcher features a ribbed surface with a high-relief ivy vine and leaf motif, a gracefully arched swan-neck handle with decorative terminal, and a pedestal base with finely rayed design. Traditionally attributed to the Boston & Sandwich Glass Company, this piece represents a hallmark of 19th-century American decorative arts. CONDITION: No chips or cracks observed.
