Antique Hand-Hammered Copper Cauldron
Description
Antique hand-hammered copper cauldron featuring a bulbous body with visible hammer marks and a natural patina. The wrought iron swing handle is securely attached to the rim with brass or copper rivets. The interior displays oxidation consistent with age, indicative of historical use as a hearth cooking pot or fireplace coal scuttle. Likely of European or Turkish origin, this 19th-century domestic metalware piece exemplifies handcrafted construction. 7-1/2″ (D), 7″ (H). CONDITION: Oxidation visible on the interior surface.
