Copper and Brass Tea Kettle, Arabic Markings
Description
19th-century copper and brass tea kettle featuring a dual-language marking stamped near the spout. The mark reads ‘ALFRED…’ in English and ‘الهزار’ in Arabic script. The kettle has a copper body with a brass handle and finial, a two-part bulbous form with a prominent central band, and a pointed spout tip. The dual-language marking suggests it was produced for export to Middle Eastern or North African markets. Surface wear and tarnishing are present, along with a small dent near the spout.
