Description

This pair of Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) footed sugar bowls features the delicate ‘Ribbed Ivy’ pattern, a hallmark design introduced by Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. (Wheeling, WV) circa 1859. The set includes one covered sugar bowl with its original finial lid and one open sugar bowl. Both are crafted from high-quality flint glass, confirmed by their resonant, bell-like ring and substantial weight—characteristics of Antebellum-era production. The design showcases fine vertical ribbing encircled by an intricately molded ivy vine, resting on a paneled pedestal and rayed foot. CONDITION: Chips along the rim of both pieces, see pictures. Some surface wear consistent with age. SHIPPING: In-House Shipping Available
