US Postage 1949 Carmine DC-4 Skymaster Air Mail Stamps
Description
Two sheets of U.S. Air Mail postage stamps Carmine DC-4 Skymaster 1949, each featuring perforated edges and printed in red ink on a light background. The stamps display an image of an twin-motored transport plane, along with the text ‘AIR MAIL’, ‘6¢’, and ‘U.S. POSTAGE’. Plate numbers ‘25341’ and ‘25343’ are visible at the bottom margins, confirming production by the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
