Antique Fairbanks-Morse Fishtail Cast Iron Balance Scale with Weights
Description
Antique Fairbanks-Morse cast iron balance scale with brass beam and metal pan. The beam is marked ‘FAIRBANKS-MORSE’ and ‘CAPY 35 LBS’. Includes two weights: a cylindrical weight marked ‘200’ and a larger round group of weights weighing 7.5. The base features a raised mark reading ‘H.T.A.I.D.’ as well as a number ‘7749.’ Likely late-nineteenth century production. CONDITION: Surface rust on weights, wear and scratches on the brass beam, and minor dents on the metal pan. SHIPPING: Local pickup or 3rd party shipping only.
