Large Satsuma-Style Ceramic Jardiniere Cachepot
Description
Large ceramic jardiniere or cachepot or planter featuring painted landscapes with mountains and figures in traditional clothing. The interior is decorated with a goldfish design, while the exterior showcases gold and floral patterns around the rim and body. The base bears a mark reading ‘MADE IN CHINA’ and ‘SATSUMA,’ indicating a modern Chinese reproduction in the Satsuma style. No drainage. Weighs approx. 34.8lbs. 14″ diameter and 16″ tall.
