Sally Swiss (MICH, 1917-2009) Watercolor Painting
Description
Sally A. Swiss (Michigan, 1917-2009), watercolor painting on paper of red and yellow roses, signed “Swiss” and dated “’84” lower right, in a period gold toned metal frame measuring 21-1/4″ x 28-1/4″. Swiss was born in Saginaw, received her BA and MA in Art from what was then Michigan State College (later Michigan State University), taught in both the Saginaw and Lansing Public School systems until her retirement in 1982, was a member of the Lansing Art Guild, Lansing Art Gallery, and the Michigan Watercolor Society, and has work in the permanent collection of the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum in East Lansing.
