Glazed Porcelain Budgerigar Figurine, 1950s–1960s
Description
Glazed porcelain figurine of a blue budgerigar perched on a gnarled, mossy-textured tree stump. The bird features a white crown with characteristic black-spotted throat markings and deep blue breast plumage. The base is finished with a green protective felt rim and a central firing/vent hole. Though unmarked, the piece demonstrates high-quality modeling and is rendered in the classic European ‘Animalier’ tradition, likely dating to the 1950s–1960s.
