Mahogany Presentation Chest with Gold-Toned Flatware
Description
Late 19th/early 20th Century mahogany presentation chest of campaign form, crafted from straight-grained mahogany and reinforced with mounted brass hardware. The lid features a central applied brass presentation plaque engraved with “Geo. L. Walt.” The interior is lined with quilted cream satin fabric and includes specialized fitted dividers and ruffles designed to secure and display flatware. The chest currently houses 19 pieces of “1847 Rogers Bros.” gold-toned flatware. The box measures 18-9/16″ (W), 12-9/12″ (D), 4-1/16″ (H).
