Antique Robinson Clay Products Co. "Flatiron Building" Stoneware Mug
Description
Early 20th-century American stoneware tankard by Robinson Clay Products Company of Akron, Ohio. This piece features raised relief decoration of the iconic Flatiron Building on one side, a decorative beaded rim, and a textured twig-shaped handle. Opposite side depicts a woman with a flowing dress. The salt-glazed grey body is accented with cobalt blue highlights. The base bears the original maker’s mark stamped in blue ink: ‘The Robinson Clay Product Co., Akron, Ohio.’ CONDITION: Small chip on the rim and general wear consistent with age.
