Antique 19th Century European Landscape Oil Painting on Canvas
Description
19th Century oil paining on stretched canvas, possibly depicting an European landscape, with fishermen, castle ruins, and mountains, in a later gilt gesso frame measuring 32-1/4″ x 38-5/8″. CONDITION: Not examined out of frame. Consignor states that the painting was recently professionally relined and restored and that an “L” shaped tear in the upper center area of the painting, mostly where there is only sky, was repaired at that time. Under black light examination the repair along with some minor inpainting is visible. SHIPPING: Local pickup or 3rd party shipping only.
