Animal Themed Alphabet Plates: Metal & Ceramic
Description
Grouping of alphabet plates with decorative scenes, including two (2) ceramic plates or bowls with alphabet rims and painted scenes (cows by a river, horse with puppies), two metal plates with alphabet rims, and two small lithographed tin plates featuring alphabet borders and cats in the center. A small spoon accompanies the group. The ceramic plates display molded or printed alphabet rims and polychrome transfer scenes typical of early 20th-century children’s educational ware. Ceramic bowls are approx. 7-1/2″ in diameter, metal plates are 6″ in diameter, and cat plates are 4-1/4″ in diameter. CONDITION: Chip on the edge of one ceramic plate.
