Description
Collection of wooden donation boxes from the Church Missionary Society (CMS), founded in 1799. Includes five boxes of various shapes and sizes, such as a log cabin-shaped box, a church-shaped box, and others with missionary fundraising labels. Visible text references CMS campaigns, including ‘£2,000 Needed weekly to maintain the Services of 160 Missionaries’ and ‘FOUNDERS AD 1799, CMS.’ These boxes were used for missionary fundraising during the late 19th to early 20th century.
