127 Pieces of Gorham Manufacturing Company (Providence, Rhode Island) / Frank M. Whiting Company (North Attleboro, Massachusetts) sterling flatware in the “King Albert” pattern, introduced in 1919, with a later felt-lined wood storage box. The set includes: (12) 7-3/4″ dinner forks (Gorham); (7) 7-1/8″ luncheon forks (6 Gorham, 1 Whiting); (18) 6-1/4″ salad forks (6 Gorham, 12 Whiting); (22) 5-7/8″ teaspoons (16 Gorham, 6 Whiting); (12) 7-1/8″ tablespoons (Gorham); (12) 6-7/8″ cream soup spoons (Whiting); (12) 5-1/16″ bouillon soup spoons (Gorham); (4) 4″ demitasse spoons (Whiting); (9) 9-1/2″ hollow dinner knives (6 Gorham, 3 Whiting); (12) 8-3/4″ hollow luncheon knives (Gorham); (1) 10″ stuffing spoon (Whiting); (3) 8-1/4″ serving spoons (Whiting); (1) 7-5/16″ ice tea spoon (Gorham); (1) 9-3/4″ hollow carving knife (Whiting); (1) 8-5/8″ hollow carving fork (Whiting). Approximate total weight, not including any of the hollow pieces, is 3,780 grams.
CONDITION: All pieces are monogrammed, some are dated as well on the backside, all show signs of wear commensurate with age and use, the carving knife has been heavily sharpened, there is surface wear including scratches to wood storage box, please see photos.
