Description
Winchester M1 Garand semi-automatic rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, serial number 2454725. The serial number falls within Winchester’s early 1944 World War II production range. The rifle features a 24-inch barrel marked “SA 8-64,” indicating rebarreling by Springfield Armory in August 1964. The receiver is stamped “U.S. Rifle Cal. .30 M1 Winchester.” The bolt is marked “W.R.A.” for Winchester Repeating Arms. The trigger group is Springfield Armory, and the operating rod is marked “RA.” The rifle retains a parkerized military-style finish and is fitted with a wood stock displaying cartouche markings.
