Description
Winchester M1 Garand, .30-06 caliber, serial number 2454725, manufactured during World War II in the early 1944 production period. Features a 24-inch barrel rebarreled by Springfield Armory (SA) in August 1964 as marked on the barrel. The bolt is marked W.R.A, indicating it was made by Winchester Repeating Arms. The trigger group is Springfield Armory, and the operating rod is marked RA for Remington Arms. Constructed with a blued finish and fitted with a wood stock bearing clear cartouche marks. Includes attached leather sling and adjustable rear sight for precise accuracy. Stamped ‘U.S. Rifle Cal .30 M1 Winchester’ on the receiver. This rifle showcases parts from multiple manufacturers, typical of arsenal-refurbished Garands post-war.
CONDITION: The wood stock shows moderate handling wear, including scuffs and small scratches consistent with use and age. There is some discoloration and blemishing on the metal surfaces but no significant pitting observed. The bore appears clean with defined rifling. The leather sling shows visible wear with cracking and discoloration but remains intact. Mechanically, the action cycles properly by hand.
