Saginaw Gear M1 Carbine .30 Cal WWII Rifle
Description
Saginaw Gear M1 Carbine chambered in .30 caliber with an 18-inch barrel and serial number 3368372. Manufactured during World War II, the M1 Carbine was widely used by the U.S. military. The receiver is marked ‘US CARBINE CAL .30 M1’, and the barrel is marked ‘SAGINAW S G GENERAL MOTORS’. This semi-automatic rifle features a parkerized finish and a wooden stock showing military inspection marks, including a letter ‘P’ near the grip and additional markings on the buttstock. It is equipped with an adjustable rear sight, a blade front sight, and a bayonet lug. The attached olive drab web sling appears period-appropriate. An original buttplate is also present.
CONDITION: The firearm shows visible usage wear, consistent with its age and military use. The wood stock has areas of surface wear, scattered dents, scratches, and finish loss, as visible in the photos. The parkerized finish on the metal components displays thinning and handling marks in exposed areas. The bore appears visually clean, with rifling intact on inspection. The action cycles as expected. Inspection marks on the buttstock and hardware indicate its military provenance, but some outer markings show moderate wear due to handling.
