Description
Stevens Model 240, .410 bore, over/under shotgun manufactured by J. Stevens Arms Co., Chicopee Falls, MA, USA. Features a 26-inch blued steel barrel marked ‘Proof Tested .410 Bore – 3 Inch Chamber’ suitable for modern .410 ammunition. The receiver retains its original color case-hardening finish and is equipped with dual triggers. Stock and forearm are synthetic with a wood-grain pattern and include factory checkering at the grip and forend. Serial number not provided.
CONDITION: The synthetic stock and forearm exhibit notable scratches, scuffs, and handling marks throughout, particularly on the buttstock. Color case-hardening finish on the receiver shows signs of wear, with fading on edges. Bluing on the barrel is worn in high-contact areas but free of major pitting. Mechanically, the action engages and locks appropriately, and the bores are free of visible obstructions but show light fouling. Recoil pad displays moderate wear, with slight abrasions evident on the surface.
