Schmidt Rubin Model 1911 7.5mm w/ Bayonet
Description
Schmidt Rubin Model 1911, bolt-action rifle, chambered in 7.5mm Swiss. Serial number 365421, matching on multiple components, indicating original assembly. Features a 30.5-inch blued barrel and an overall length of approximately 51.75 inches. The rifle includes a walnut stock with a straight-pull bolt action, a detachable magazine, and provision for a green canvas sling. The sights consist of a tangent rear sight graduated up to 20 and a fixed, hooded front sight. Accompanied by an original bayonet marked ‘Waffenfabrik Neuhausen’ with serial number 48103 and a metal scabbard. Additional military markings visible on the receiver and barrel reinforce its Swiss military origins.
CONDITION: The rifle shows indications of standard military service use. The metal components retain a moderate amount of their original blued finish, with areas of patina and wear throughout. The walnut stock has several dents, scratches, and worn areas, consistent with age and use, as well as a minor loss at the buttplate area. The bore appears to show light wear, with visible rifling, though detailed cleaning may be necessary. The action cycles smoothly. The included bayonet has a lightly tarnished blade with surface wear, and the wooden grips show handling marks. The attached scabbard exhibits moderate finish wear.
