Description
Metal artillery shell casing stamped ’90MM’ accompanied by a military-style green ammunition box. The shell casing has a cylindrical form with a visible base diameter of approximately 6 inches and a height of approximately 9 inches. The surface of the shell casing exhibits significant patina and areas of oxidation consistent with its age and material composition. The ammunition box, also showing wear and some rust, features a hinged lid and a carrying handle. Both items display distinct utility and wear consistent with military use.
CONDITION: The artillery shell casing shows significant surface patina, tarnish, and rust-like oxidation, especially on its exterior surfaces. The base features visible markings, including ’90MM,’ though the markings are partially obscured due to wear. The ammunition box shows moderate scratching, areas of rust, and general handling wear. The hinge on the box is functional, and the handle remains intact. No major structural weaknesses or deformations observed on the shell casing or box.
