22" Painted Wood Canadian Goose Decoy
Description
Handcrafted and painted wood Canadian Goose decoy measuring approximately 22 inches in length and 9 inches in height. The decoy features carved feather detailing and a naturalistic color palette of black, brown, and cream tones. The neck is sculpted in a downward position, creating a lifelike and graceful pose. The underside of the decoy shows evidence of traditional construction with visible wood grain and an embedded weight for stability.
CONDITION: The decoy exhibits moderate wear consistent with age and use, including surface abrasions, small chips, and paint loss, particularly on the neck and edges. The carved details remain clear, and the wood is structurally sound with no visible cracks or breaks. The paint, though worn in some areas, retains much of its original color and appeal. The bottom shows scuffs and marks from prior use, as well as signs of age-related patina on the embedded weight.
