Epic Winter Sporting Auction - Guns, Knives, Lures, Relics
Lot 139:
1940s-60s Canadian Surface Popper Lures
Description
Lot of three Canadian-made surface popper fishing lures manufactured between the 1940s and 1960s. Each lure features vibrant, colorful paint schemes with metallic accents, including hues of blue, green, yellow, and white, paired with large black and yellow inset eyes. The lures are identified with ‘Made in Canada’ markings visible on the body. All include attached steel hooks, with protective coverings on some parts. The designs exemplify classic mid-century craftsmanship common to this style of lure.
CONDITION: The lures display visible wear consistent with use and age, including surface scratches, paint loss in some areas, and signs of corrosion on the steel hooks and hardware. Despite the noted wear, the structural integrity of the lures remains intact, and all hooks appear fully attached. Protective tape is present on portions of the hooks for safety.
