Epic Winter Sporting Auction - Guns, Knives, Lures, Relics
Lot 134:
1930s-1960s Creek Chub Minnow Lures
Description
A lot of five vintage Creek Chub fishing lures dating from the 1930s to 1960s. This group includes four lures with visible ‘Creek Chub Injured Minnow’ markings. Each lure is a variation of the minnow design, featuring wooden construction, stamped metal propellers at the front and rear, and fitted with treble hooks. Lure finishes include black, yellow with spotted highlights, green with red accents, and a metallic-style golden pattern. These lures exhibit detailed hand-painting characteristic of their era.
CONDITION: All five lures show wear consistent with use and age. Paint loss, chipping, and surface scratches are visible, particularly on the bodies of the black and yellow lures. The metal fittings exhibit some oxidation and tarnish. All hooks and propellers are present, though minor rusting is evident on some hooks. There are no cracks or structural damages to the wooden bodies. Overall, these lures remain structurally intact while reflecting their vintage character.
