Description

Mosin Nagant Model 1895, 7.62×38mmR caliber, single/double-action revolver. Features a 4.5-inch barrel, blued finish, and checkered brown Bakelite grips. The revolver displays various arsenal markings including ‘??01216’ and manufacturer markings indicating production in Russia in 1944 by the Tula Arsenal as evidenced by the prominent ‘Tula star’ stamped on the frame. The cylinder is a distinctive 7-round capacity, designed to mate closely with the barrel to maximize gas retention. Included is a military-style green canvas lanyard with leather accents. A robust example of a historical Soviet-era sidearm.
CONDITION: The revolver exhibits overall wear consistent with age and use, with moderate finish wear and small handling marks visible on the frame and barrel. The trigger, hammer, and cylinder show signs of bluing loss and discoloration. The Bakelite grips are intact but display minor wear and some surface scratches. All visible markings are legible. Mechanically, the hammer cocks and the cylinder rotates properly, although function under live fire has not been tested. The bore is visibly dark with some light pitting, requiring cleaning and inspection to verify shooting condition. The lanyard shows signs of age-related wear but remains intact.
