S&W Pre-Model 10 .38 Spl Revolver w/Holster
Description
Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 10 double-action revolver chambered in .38 S&W Special. This example features a 4-inch pinned barrel with a fixed blade front sight and a notch rear sight. The revolver is finished in a high-polish blued steel and is equipped with checkered wooden grips adorned with Smith & Wesson brass medallions. The barrel is roll-stamped “38 S.&W. SPECIAL CTG.” on the right side and “SMITH & WESSON” on the left side. The left side of the frame bears the Smith & Wesson logo, and the bottom of the grip frame is marked with the serial number C170197, indicating production circa 1948-1952. Includes a black, floral-tooled leather holster and matching belt.
CONDITION: This revolver is in very good overall condition, showing minor handling marks and scattered spots of finish wear primarily on the barrel and cylinder. The grips exhibit minor scuffs and areas of wear consistent with handling but retain strong checkering and medallions. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The action cycles smoothly with good lock-up and timing. The accompanying leather holster and belt show moderate wear and some verdigris around the rivets, but the stitching is intact and functional.
