Colt Vest Pocket .25 ACP Pistol, 2-Inch Barrel
Description
Colt Vest Pocket Model 1908, .25 ACP caliber semi-automatic pistol. Featuring a 2-inch barrel and a steel frame with a blued finish. The pistol is equipped with black checkered grips, each marked ‘Colt’ and displaying the iconic prancing horse emblem. The slide is marked ‘Colt Automatic Calibre 25’ on one side and ‘Colt’s PT.F.A. MFG. Co. Hartford, CT, U.S.A. Pat’d Aug. 25, 1896, Apr. 20, 1897, Dec. 22, 1903, Jan. 25, 1910’ on the opposite side. Serial number 280297 is visible on the frame, dating this firearm to 1922 based on Colt production records. This compact pistol, also known as a pocket hammerless design, is a classic collectible in early 20th-century firearm manufacture. Background check required.
CONDITION: The metal surfaces exhibit a heavily worn blued finish with areas of oxidation and freckling, notably on the side of the slide and top of the barrel. There is noticeable wear to the grips, but they remain intact without visible cracks or chips. The action functions mechanically, but the interior and bore condition cannot be assessed from available photos. Cleaning and maintenance may be required before use.
