German Fireman’s Dress Bayonet by Eickhorn
Description
German WWII Fireman’s (Feuerwehr) dress bayonet by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. Features a 9¾” bright nickel-plated blade with oval squirrel trademark on ricasso, plated hilt with hooked quillon, and checkered black Bakelite grips secured by rivets. Smooth pommel without rifle lug. Complete with black-painted steel scabbard. Overall length 16 inches.
CONDITION: Blade retains bright finish with light runner marks and minor age spotting near tip. Hilt plating shows scattered wear and patina to high points. Grips remain tight and undamaged. Scabbard exhibits thinning and flaking to original paint with visible oxidation.
