Description

German WWII Luftwaffe 1st Model officer’s dagger manufactured by Alcoso, Solingen. Features a 12″ bright double-edged blade etched with the maker’s scales logo, gilt brass crossguard and pommel each bearing Luftwaffe eagle and swastika motifs, and wire-wrapped dark blue grip. Complete with blue leather-covered scabbard fitted with nickel-silver mounts, chain hanger with OLC-marked clip, and silver portepee. Overall length 19 inches.
CONDITION: Blade remains bright with minor surface marks. Gilt fittings show light patina and some finish loss to high points. Grip wrap tight and intact. Scabbard leather shows scattered handling wear with minor flaking; chain and fittings retain good tone with age-appropriate wear. Overall a well-preserved example with attractive presentation.
