Czech M52 Steel Helmet, Named "Gordi’’
Description
Czechoslovakian Model 1952 steel combat helmet finished in olive drab paint, featuring the distinctive flared rim and shape derived from the German M42 design. Fitted with an eight-pad leather liner secured by green canvas straps and metal hardware. Inside band bears hand-written name “Gordi,” suggesting field issue or personal use. Widely used by Czech and Warsaw Pact forces during the 1950s–60s.
CONDITION: Displays wear to exterior paint with scattered scuffs and small chips. Liner and chinstrap show service wear but remain intact and complete. Presents as an authentic postwar example with character and patina.
