U.S. Navy Mark 1 Fighting Knife w/ Scabbard
Description
World War II–era U.S. Navy Mark 1 fighting knife manufactured by Camillus Cutlery Co., Camillus, New York. Features a 5-inch parkerized clip-point blade marked “U.S.N. MARK 1” on one side and “CAMILLUS N.Y.” on the reverse. The handle is made of stacked leather washers with a blackened steel guard and pommel. Includes the correct gray plastic scabbard marked “U.S.N. MK 1” on the throat and “NORD-6804 B.M. Co. 1/4” on the reverse, fitted with a gray canvas belt hanger secured by brass rivets and snap closure. Overall length approximately 11 inches.
CONDITION: Blade retains most of its original parkerized finish with light rub marks and minor sharpening wear. Leather handle shows light surface wear with even tone and tight fit. Scabbard exhibits light scuffing and small finish scratches consistent with age. Overall appears in very good condition.
