World War II–era U.S. M1 bayonet manufactured by Union Cutlery Co. (U.C.), Olean, New York. Features a 9¾-inch parkerized steel blade with fullers on both sides, straight crossguard, and ribbed black plastic grips secured by screws. The pommel includes a functional push-button release catch for attachment to the M1 Garand rifle. Ricasso is stamped “U.C.” over “U.O.S.” beneath the ordnance flaming bomb emblem. Accompanied by an original M7 olive-drab fiberglass scabbard with steel throat stamped “U.S.” and ordnance bomb. Overall length approximately 15¾ inches.
CONDITION: Blade shows surface oxidation, edge wear, and light pitting toward the tip and guard. Hilt and crossguard display scattered brown patina. Grips show minor handling wear and remain secure. Scabbard retains most of its original olive finish with moderate flaking and scattered surface wear. Overall appears in good condition for a combat-issued example.
