German Officer’s Dress Dagger by Alcoso
Description
German officer’s dress dagger marked “Alcoso / ACS / Solingen” on the ricasso. Features a 10-inch steel blade, nickel-finished crossguard with eagle-and-wreath motif, and distinctive orange celluloid grip with spiral contour. Includes textured metal scabbard with twin suspension rings. Manufacturer and configuration are consistent with mid-20th century Solingen production; likely a post-war or early export example patterned after pre-1945 military dress designs. Overall length 15¾ inches.
CONDITION: Blade shows light oxidation and faint spotting with some age toning near the guard. Grip retains a bright orange tone with minimal wear; fittings display uniform patina. Scabbard shows even finish wear consistent with handling and age.
