British WWII Era Indian Army Gurkha Kukri
Description
A World War II–era British Indian Army–issue Gurkha kukri, bearing the blade marking “IMPERIAL / INDIA.” The knife features a 12-inch curved steel blade with kauri notch and single fuller, paired with bone grip slabs secured by brass pins and reinforced by dark brass or copper alloy fittings in full tang construction. Produced under Imperial Indian ordnance contract for Gurkha regiments serving during the 1940s.
Overall length 17½ inches.
CONDITION: Blade shows age patina, light oxidation, and surface marks consistent with field wear; grip remains tight and well-preserved with minor age toning to bone and patina to metal mounts.
