Description

British WWII MK II steel helmet stamped “Z441” on the interior rim. The outer edge bears a hand-carved inscription reading “The Helmet Kaiser Wilhelm,” likely added postwar as a souvenir or trench-art style personalization. Retains original dark olive textured paint, liner, and chin strap. The liner features a wartime net suspension and leather chin strap, both showing age-appropriate wear.
CONDITION: The shell retains most of its textured paint with surface oxidation and handling wear throughout. Liner is intact but shows dryness and minor fraying to netting. Chin strap remains supple and complete. The carved inscription remains clearly legible around the brim.
