U.S. Model 1917 Bolo Knife manufactured by the Clyde Cutlery Company of St. Louis and marked “U.S. MOD 1917 C.T.” on one side and “ST. LOUIS” on the reverse. Features a 10-inch heavy steel bolo blade with clipped tip and a full-length fuller along each face, fitted with a wood grip secured by two screws and a steel crossguard with oval quillon. Overall length measures 14¾ inches.
CONDITION: Blade shows dark patina and age graying with evident field use and the tip broken off. Wood grips display handling wear, light dents, and minor surface cracks typical of age. Guard and pommel retain darkened finish with scattered oxidation. Overall presents as a well-worn but solid World War I bolo knife.
