German Hunting Hirschfangar Dagger w/ Portepee
Description
German Hunting Hirschfänger dagger with stag horn grip and shell-form guard. Features an 18½-inch spear-point blade with single fuller and nickel-plated mounts. The grip is fitted with natural stag antler scales, ribbed ferrule, and matching pommel cap, with decorative clamshell guard and acorn finials. Complete with black leather scabbard having polished nickel throat and tip fittings, and retaining its woven green-and-silver portepee knot. Measures 25¼ inches overall with scabbard.
CONDITION: Blade shows light gray patina with mild surface spotting and age toning. Stag grips are well-preserved with natural color variation and tight fit to fittings. Scabbard leather remains sound with light handling wear and surface aging to the plated fittings. Overall presents in very good condition with attractive patina and complete portepee.
