Description

Wartime Nepalese/Indian Gurkha kukri supplied under U.S. Board of Supply contracts for use in the China-Burma-India Theater. Features a heavy curved steel blade stamped “U.S.B.S.” on one side, paired with a matching scabbard bearing the same marking. Fitted with a hardwood grip secured by rivets and a full tang construction. The scabbard is tooled leather with decorative scroll patterns, reinforced brass throat and tip, and integral belt loop. Measures 15 inches blade length and 21½ inches overall with scabbard.
CONDITION: Blade shows light oxidation, scattered staining, and patina consistent with age. Wooden grip displays minor handling wear and small surface marks. Leather scabbard remains intact with age toning, mild surface cracking, and some edge wear to the brass fittings. Overall presents in very good condition for a wartime kukri set.
