Three Fuze M228 Inert Training Hand Grenades
Description
Set of three U.S. M228 inert training hand grenades, each featuring cast metal fragmentation-style bodies and blue-painted safety levers marked “FUZE M228 / ME190A.” These postwar training grenades were used for instruction and familiarization purposes, retaining the same weight and handling characteristics as live models but fully demilitarized and safe.
CONDITION: All three examples are confirmed inert with hollow bodies and no explosive components. Surfaces show light oxidation, edge wear, and scattered finish loss from handling. Blue paint on the levers shows flaking and scuffing consistent with storage and age.
