WWII German M-42 Waffen-SS Winter Camo Helmet
Description
German Model 42 steel helmet featuring a single decal and field-applied white winter camouflage paint over its original dark finish. The paint exhibits distinctive brush-applied texture and authentic wear from age and handling. Interior retains the original leather liner and chin strap, both showing appropriate wartime construction and aging.
CONDITION: Helmet shows even patina and heavy camo paint wear consistent with field use and storage. Liner remains intact with visible darkening and surface wear; chin strap complete though aged. Decal remains largely visible with expected abrasion and cracking under the camo layer.
