Group of Five 19th Century Powder Flasks & Horns
Description
Collection includes a J.W. Hawksley English brass powder flask circa 1845–1885 with adjustable charger, a 1 lb leather-covered flask circa 1840–1870 with brass top and spring spout, and three natural powder horns circa 1820–1870 of varying sizes, each fitted with wooden plugs and suspension cords. A representative grouping of 19th-century muzzleloading accessories from both British and American use.
CONDITION: All pieces show age-appropriate wear. The leather flask displays surface cracking and patina; horns retain an attractive natural finish with minor handling marks and light oxidation to metal fittings. All appear structurally sound with no major losses.
