Description

Marked “ARTA FABa DE TOLEDO 1894,” this Model 1894 Spanish artillery short sword features a fullered single-edged blade with matching number “1605” on both sword and scabbard. Steel crossguard and checkered grip panels. Complete with original metal-mounted leather scabbard. Sword measures 23½ inches; 29½ inches overall with scabbard.

These swords were produced at the Toledo Artillery Factory and used by Spanish artillery troops through the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

CONDITION: Blade shows light oxidation and scattered surface wear. Scabbard leather shows age cracking and a partial seam split but remains structurally sound. Matching numbers on sword and scabbard.
