Adelaide Hiebel (American, 1885 – 1965), “True Friendship”, depicting a woman standing at the edge of water with a collie dog in the moonlight, pastel on stretched canvas, under glass, circa 1920s, signed lower right, possibly original artwork for a calendar for Garlach Barklow Company (Joliet, Illinois), where Hiebel was employed starting in 1918, 39″ x 30″, in a period gilt gesso and wood frame measuring approximately 48-1/2″ x 39-1/2″.
