Ryohei Tanaka Etching Waiting for Spring 1983
Description
Framed artist signed limited edition etching, possibly titled “Roofs in Forest,” depicting three traditional rural Japanese thatched-roof houses against a mountainous backdrop, by Ryohei Tanaka (Japanese, 1933 – 2019), pencil signed by the artist and dated (1981) lower right, and numbered (87/130) lower left, in a traditional Japanese black painted wood frame, measuring approximately 14-13/16″ x 15-13/16″. Provenance: ex-private Saint Johns, Michigan, USA collection; Kanda’s Gallery BOQ, Tokyo, Japan, 2/1982. Original receipts, bills of sale, invoices, or other similar documents of purchase or ownership may not necessarily be included even when pictured and are only shown to help better establish the provenance of a piece.
