Pendleton (Portland, Oregon), Glacier Stripe National Park Blanket. These were first introduced in 1916, when the Great Northern Railway president, James J. Hill, commissioned Pendleton to create the now iconic blanket for Glacier National Park’s lodge. This example most likely dates from the early to mid 20th Century, partial label lower right corner, and measures approximately 73″ x 47″.
