Antique miniature portrait painting, most likely of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson, 1st Duke of Bronte (British, 1758 – 1805), a British Royal Navy officer during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, considered to be one of the greatest naval commanders in history, signed on right side, possibly “Romney,” circa early 20th Century, in a gilt metal frame with an easel back, approximately 6″ in height.
