This is a 1919 Birmingham 9ct gold bar brooch set with a Wedgwood blue Jasperware plaque depicting the classical allegory of Hope with anchor. The gold mount is hallmarked with maker’s mark P. B. & Co for Payton, Billing & Co, 9ct (.375) gold, Birmingham anchor, and 1919 date letter “u.” The brooch retains its original pin and clasp, and the Jasperware plaque is in excellent condition. Weighs approx. 5.4 grams and measures 1 1/2” x 1 3/4”
