Packing, Shipping & Pickup Information

At Epic Auctions, we offer shipping as a convenience for buyers who are unable to attend pickup. Please review the information below before bidding, especially if you will need items packed and shipped.

Shipping Overview

Shipping is available on most small to medium sized items that can be safely packed and shipped through standard carriers. We primarily ship using UPS and USPS. We typically do not use FedEx as they are not cost competitive on most shipments. Not all items qualify for in house shipping. If you are unsure whether an item can be shipped, please contact us before bidding.

Shipping Process

We use the Shipping Saint software system to manage and facilitate our shipping process. After the auction concludes, buyers will receive an email and text message prompting them to select either shipping or local pickup.

Buyers must complete this step to confirm their selection. Shipping will not be processed until a request is submitted through the Shipping Saint system.

Pickup is the Primary Method

Local pickup is the default and preferred method for receiving your items. Buyers should bring their own boxes, packing materials, and help for loading large or heavy items. Please arrive during the scheduled pickup time listed for the auction.

Items We Commonly Ship

We can ship most small to medium sized items that can be safely packed within our available box sizes.

Common Box Sizes We Use

  • Frame boxes up to 36 x 6 x 42
  • Standard boxes up to 24 x 24 x 24
  • We do stock some other non standard oversized boxes such as 18 x 18 x 36
  • Firearm specific shipping boxes

If an item exceeds these sizes or cannot be safely packed, it will require pickup or use of a third party shipper.

Items We Do Not Ship

We do not offer in house shipping for furniture. Some oversized, very heavy, or especially fragile items may also require pickup or third party shipping arrangements.

Packing Fees

Packing is a paid service and is required for all shipped items. Packing charges are billed at the rate of $60 per hour based on actual packing time needed. Items that take 5 minutes to pack are charged a $5 packing fee, while items that require 2 hours to pack are charged $120 and so on.

We provide professional packing as a courtesy to our buyers to help ensure items arrive safely. New shipping boxes and materials are billed as needed.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are based on carrier rates, package size, package weight, destination, and insurance when applicable. All shipping and packing charges are the responsibility of the buyer.

All shipments include required insurance and signature confirmation to help protect both the buyer and seller.

Tracking & Security

Tracking information is typically provided once your package ships. However, due to fraud and security concerns, we do not provide tracking information for firearms, jewelry, or gold and silver bullion shipments.

Processing Time

Shipping is typically completed after the scheduled pickup period. Please allow time for packing and processing, especially following larger auctions or high volume sales.

Recommended Third Party Shippers

For furniture, oversized items, or items that cannot be safely packed in house, buyers may arrange shipping directly with a third party provider.

Important Note About Third Party Shipping

Epic Auctions does not coordinate or manage third party shipping arrangements. All communication, scheduling, and payment must be handled directly between the buyer and the selected shipper.

How to Request Shipping

  1. Wait until the auction has closed and your invoice has been issued
  2. Pay your invoice in full
  3. Use the Shipping Saint link sent via email or text to request shipping or confirm pickup
  4. Confirm your shipping address and contact information
  5. We will pack eligible items and process shipping charges
